Hello All:
Now that we have made it through the Christmas Holiday I finally found the time to post to my blog...Guess better Late than Never huh? We had a real enjoyable Christmas. It was loads of fun watching my two year old rip into the presents this year. Last year she took her time and was afraid she was going to rip the paper. This year she did not waste anytime. Also my one year old was really amazing to watch he thought that he could unwrap every one's gifts including his own. Even thought the economy was bad this year we still managed to have a wonderful Christmas. We did not have as many gifts as last year for the kids but that's not the meaning of Christmas anyway!! I enjoyed being with my family and all the shows about Jesus birth. I hope everyone had a good Christmas also!!!!
Now that a new year is upon us it's back yo work in the world of college comp II. I have not experienced any "Ah Ha" moments in my research yet. I still like a little bit of research on vaccinations maybe the research I do on that will give me some "Ah Ha" moments. Well guess I will quit boring everyone with my rambling!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Week six greetings!!!!
Hello again Y'all;
The last six weeks have been a real challenge in the areas of managing my time and getting back into the swing of things. It has been really hard with the slow Internet connection that I currently have; but, all will change on Tuesday for I am getting faster Internet. I just could not bare to go another week of that slow access.
My chosen topic has also given me some issues; but, I have worked those out. This week our first draft is due and I am panicking because I usually like to wait till the last minute to even start writing my paper. I still have so much research to read and gather and I just do not see how I will ever get a first draft written before the Tuesday midnight deadline. I am positive that I will meet the deadline though.
The Christmas holidays are only a week away!!!!! Boy time sure does fly (doesn't it?) it just seems like 2009 just started yesterday and here we are getting ready for 2010. My shopping is done, presents are wrapped and stockings are waiting to be filled. Hopefully Santa will not be so fatigued that he forgets to fill the stockings at my house. lol:) My kids are excited that today (12/18/2009) is the last day of school and they have a long break. I too am welcoming the break we all here at Kaplan will get next week. WOOOHOOOOO!!! I surely need it; but, I will not relax to much because those extra days in Unit 7 will give me the chance to catch up on my research and things in my other class.
I wish each and every one of you a safe and Happy holidays!!!

Week Five Greetings!!!!
Hello Again Y'all;
Everyone is interested in seeing the Homemade Christmas ornaments so I made a slide show on Flickr that you can get to from my blog. Another thing is everyone has been asking for the recipe to make salt dough so I am gonna post it on here. To make salt dough you need...
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1cup cold water
Mix your salt and flour together well and gradually add the water until the dough gets to a sugar cookie consistency. Take your holiday cookie cutters and cut out shapes. Bake on 250 degrees until the dough is dry. If the edges start browning cover with tin foil to prevent further browning. Decorate with glitter paint or acrylic paint and stickers or whatever you feel like doing. For long lasting ornaments finish with polyurethane spray.
So there;s the recipe you all I hope your family has as much fun as mine did. We had a dusting of snow on Saturday. The kids thought it was cool!!! Now onto the questions for class.
I have chosen to answer the one about my writing style.
I am not the world's best writer; as a matter of fact I just down right hate writing. I am one of those people that wait till the last week and do all my research and then put my paper together. I do this because I tend to retain more from the reading if I do my paper right then instead of reading and researching over a period of weeks. I find that I work better under pressure if I just wait until the deadline. I know this is not a good way to be and this class is teaching us on how to do it week by week but for some reason I just can not grasp the concept of doing this. It could be due to the constant habit of procrastinating on my part. Procrastination is a hard habit to break especially if your used to doing it one way or the other.
I wish everyone a great week and lots of luck on their research and paper. but on that note I need to get busy working on mine. Until next week chickadee's!!!!!

Week Four Greetings!!!
This week in college comp 2 we are learning about APA and how not to plagiarize. I feel that properly citing you resources is a wonderful thing. I was always taught to not take someone ideas and thoughts and make them your own. In my family is just like stealing from a store or lying. I feel that you need to cite your sources because the original author is the one that deserves the credit for their thoughts and ideas. I feel that websites like you tube and Wikipedia do blur the lines of “legally owned” because the original author posts something and then sometime later down the line another video shows up on you tube of the exact same thing that you did. Wikipedia is not a good source either because, others can add to the original posting and we all know that if you had one hundred people in a circle and the first person told the second person that; for example, Laura is pretty!!! by the time it got around to Laura the message will have went from something innocent to something that is not true and hurtful to Laura. A good thing to remember is if you had a remarkable idea or thought and someone stole it and published it; you would not be very happy about it. So always give credit when credit is due!!!
Now some happenings in my life this week!
I am planning a craft day this Saturday for my kids to make homemade salt dough ornaments to hang on our tree and we are going to make a few for gifts. The kids want to make their grandparents an ornament for a keepsake. Also this Saturday is my children’s visit to Santa Clause and our community Christmas parade. Saturday will be a busy day in the Garmon household this weekend. lol Well I am going to end this blog post on a happy note!! I wish all of you a great week and God bless!!!

Don't get me wrong I not complaining but dang of the 50 people I had at my house someone could have helped out except for me and my mother in law having to do it all. On another note fell and think I cracked my tailbone today so just sitting here typing on this blog is killing my you know what!!! lol I hope everyone has a greta week and hope everything is well with your family and you.

Welcome Classmates and Professor Wanda
Hi Everyone;
Another exciting week in the world of College Comp II. Here is the Bluegrass State the weather is nice but here is the world of college comp II the weather is very foggy. I am still trying to figure out the idea for my final project. I wanted to do my final project on Domestic violence but now know I have to incorporate medical things into that concept and i'm drawing blanks. However, I will figure it out soon I hope.. lol.
I have a posting above my computer that list the 10 Rules For Writing that I saved and printed out from my college comp I class and the number 9 rule says to Have Patience!!! My patience will be tested this week due to my slow internet connection at my new house and the lack of ideas flowing through my head. lol
I hope everyone has a great week and the ideas are plentiful for you all and me. Everyone is doing a great job and I wish all of you lot's of luck!!!

Hi Everyone;
I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I have been real busy this week because we are in the process of moving to our new farm. We have been trying to get out here in the country since we married in 2006 and with the recent downfall of the economy it has been real tough but we set goals and finally did it!!! We are so excited!!! This Saturday will be my husbands birthday and I have to plan his party on top of all the moving. I am looking forward to a little R and R this weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
